The wedding of Bollywood actors Sidhart Malhotra and Kiara Advani was the most estimated event of the year, with millions of fans around the world flocking to send their well wishes to the new couple as soon as they uploaded a video on Instagram.
But what fans apprehended later was the inclusion of the song ‘Ranjha’ in the wedding video, which had previously been used in the film ‘Sheershah’ where both starred as star-crossed lovers in the backdrop of the Kargil war.
The iconic song ‘Ranjha’, sung by Jasleen Royal and B Praak, was originally about the heartbreak both characters had to endure when they parted ways because of the war. However, fans were extremely moved to find out that the song was re-written for the bride’s entry.
