Addison Rae’s Mother Seeks Full Custody of Youngest Son After Ex-Husband’s Arrest

In a notable legal development, Sheri Nicole Easterling, mother of TikTok sensation Addison Rae, has filed for full custody of her 12-year-old son, Lucas Lopez. This comes seven months after her ex-husband, Monty Lopez, was arrested on a felony obscenity charge.

Easterling has requested the court to grant her primary custody and child support for Lucas, suggesting that Lopez be allowed only supervised visitation due to a history of alleged verbal and physical abuse. Legal documents obtained by TMZ detail incidents dating back to 2005, including claims of aggression and intimidation.

The couple, who married in 2004, divorced in 2017, briefly remarried in 2018, and finalized their divorce in 2022, have had a turbulent relationship. Lopez’s July 2024 arrest involved allegedly exposing himself in public. He has pled not guilty, with the next court date set for March 19, 2026.

Sheri Easterling also recounted an incident in October 2024 when Lopez reportedly arrived at her home with his second wife, Kaitlyn Nicole Lopez, banging violently on the door, prompting her to call authorities. Easterling remarried in 2024 to high school football coach Jess Curtis.

Lucas is Addison Rae’s youngest sibling; her other brother, Enzo Lopez, is now an adult. Despite the family challenges, Rae continues to thrive professionally. Since joining TikTok in 2019, she has amassed over 127 million followers and maintains a strong presence on Spotify, averaging 18 million monthly listeners.

Rae is set to headline “The Addison Tour”, performing at Lollapalooza festivals across Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia in March. Additionally, she stars in the upcoming Warner Bros. live-action/CG hybrid film Animal Friends, alongside Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, and Aubrey Plaza.

As custody proceedings unfold, Addison Rae’s family life remains under public scrutiny. Nevertheless, the young star continues to expand her global music and acting career, demonstrating resilience and professionalism amid personal challenges.
