Pakistani actor Arslan Butt has initiated legal action against actress Mamya Shajaffar following controversial remarks made during a recent podcast interview, escalating a dispute that has gained significant attention across social media.
The actor shared a legal notice on his Instagram account, strongly denying the allegations and demanding a public apology. He stated that if the apology is not issued within the given timeframe, he will proceed with defamation and criminal proceedings.
In his statement, Arslan Butt wrote, “Jhootay per Allah ke laanat ho,” expressing strong anger over what he described as false and defamatory claims. He further added that he is not “vulgar” or a “fame seeker” and warned of serious legal consequences if the matter is not resolved.
According to the legal notice shared by Arslan Butt, the allegations have been termed false, baseless, and malicious. His legal team argues that the statements have damaged his professional reputation, personal dignity, and caused emotional distress and public embarrassment.
The controversy originated after Mamya Shajaffar’s appearance on the YouTube talk show Say It All, where she discussed a disturbing experience involving an actor who allegedly made inappropriate remarks and behaved inappropriately on set.
During the interview, Mamya initially referred to the individual using the name “Arslan Khan” or “Arslan,” which led to confusion online and resulted in another actor, Arslan Khan, being mistakenly targeted on social media. She later clarified the misunderstanding and issued an apology, stating that Arslan Khan was not involved in the incident.
Following the clarification, entertainment industry discussions suggested that the allegations were being linked to Arslan Asad Butt, further fueling public debate across digital platforms.
