‘Animal’ Charges Past ‘Jawan’ to Become Second Fastest INR 100 Crore Hindi Film

The new Bollywood hit ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor has stormed the box office, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ to become the second-fastest INR 100 crore Hindi film in domestic history.

‘Animal’ raked in an impressive INR 113.12 crore in its first two days of release, eclipsing ‘Jawan’s opening tally of INR 111.73 crore. The film’s meteoric rise has further intensified the box office clash between these two Bollywood titans.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ currently holds the record for the fastest INR 100 crore earner, amassing a staggering INR 123 crore nett in India within just two days.

‘Animal’ has joined the exclusive club of the top five fastest INR 100 crore Hindi films, alongside Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ and Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, both of which achieved the milestone within their initial two days of release.

Notably, ‘Gadar 2’, the much-anticipated sequel to Sunny Deol’s 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar’, took three days to cross the ₹100 crore nett mark in India after its August 2023 release.

The 2017 epic ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ secures the seventh position, also taking three days to join the ₹100 crore nett club, amassing ₹128 crore in its Hindi version.

Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’ (2018) follows closely in eighth place with ₹120.06 crore nett in three days, while Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ round off the top 10 with ₹114.93 crore nett and ₹112.75 crore nett, respectively, within the initial three days of their releases.

‘Animal’s’ sensational performance is a testament to the film’s captivating storyline, Ranbir Kapoor’s powerful performance, and the audience’s unwavering enthusiasm for Bollywood’s biggest stars.
