Actress Nazish Jahangir has expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans for their unwavering love and support as she faces mounting legal troubles in an ongoing fraud case.
Taking to Instagram, the television star shared a story featuring screenshots of affectionate messages and praise from her followers. The post, showcasing her loyal fanbase’s warmth and encouragement, quickly attracted attention across social media platforms.
Nazish’s message of gratitude comes just weeks after her name surfaced in headlines for controversial reasons.
According to 24NewsHD TV, a Lahore court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Nazish Jahangir on October 8, in connection with a multi-million-rupee fraud case.
The court reportedly cancelled her bail bonds after she failed to appear despite multiple summons. Prosecutors allege that Jahangir refused to return borrowed money, with the complainant—identified as actor Aswad—claiming she took Rs2.5 million in cash and retained his vehicle worth Rs5.5 million.
During the hearing, the judge directed law enforcement officials to arrest and produce the actress at the next proceeding.
Nazish’s legal counsel had sought a one-day exemption from appearance, but the plea was rejected, as the court noted that charges had already been framed and the trial was nearing conclusion.
Not her first controversy
This is not the first time the actress has found herself in legal turmoil.
In 2020, Nazish Jahangir was arrested in Karachi alongside actor-singer Mohsin Abbas Haider in a case involving cyber harassment, blackmail, and circulation of fake content, following a complaint filed by Haider’s former wife, Fatima Sohail.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) later confirmed that both Nazish and Mohsin were found guilty of malicious online activity after an extensive probe.
Since then, Nazish has largely stayed away from major acting projects, maintaining a lower profile on social media. Her recent post, however, signals a renewed effort to engage with fans and focus on positivity amid controversy.
“I’m overwhelmed with the love I receive from all of you,” her Instagram story read. “It means everything when the world gets heavy.”
While the actress has yet to publicly comment on her ongoing fraud case, her online presence suggests she is leaning on her fans’ support as she navigates a challenging chapter in her career.
