Donatella Versace Partners With Gen Z Fashion Retailer REVOLVE

Fashion icon Donatella Versace has partnered with New York-listed digital fashion retailer REVOLVE Group to launch a new beauty and fashion business aimed at younger consumers.

REVOLVE announced the joint venture on Monday, describing the planned business as a new online platform that will bring together Donatella Versace’s creative influence and the retailer’s digital-first approach.

According to REVOLVE, the venture will feature Donatella’s distinctive creative perspective while targeting a younger generation of fashion and beauty consumers. The partnership will combine her experience across fashion, music, entertainment and popular culture with REVOLVE’s online community and global reach.

The announcement comes at an important time for the Versace brand. Luxury group Prada acquired Versace in 2025 in a deal reportedly worth around €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion) and is now working on a broader strategy to relaunch the fashion house.

Donatella Versace, 71, previously served as the creative director of the company founded by her late brother, Gianni Versace. She stepped away from the creative director role in March 2025 and subsequently became the brand’s chief ambassador.

Her departure from the creative leadership position marked a major transition for Versace, one of the world’s best-known luxury fashion labels, particularly because Donatella had played a central role in shaping the brand’s identity for decades.

Prada has also appointed Pieter Mulier as Versace’s creative director. Mulier, who previously worked at Richemont-owned fashion house Alaïa, is expected to present his first Versace collection early next year.

Against this backdrop, Donatella’s new partnership with REVOLVE represents a separate business initiative focused on fashion and beauty and aimed specifically at younger shoppers.

REVOLVE has positioned itself as a next-generation fashion retailer serving Millennial and Generation Z consumers. The company sells apparel, footwear, accessories, beauty products and home goods through its website and mobile applications.

The retailer reported approximately €1.2 billion ($1.4 billion) in sales last year, highlighting the scale of its digital business and its established relationship with younger consumers.

REVOLVE said its partnership with Donatella will seek to connect her decades of cultural influence with the company’s ability to translate online trends and cultural conversations into commercial opportunities.

The details of the new platform, including its product range, launch date and pricing strategy, have not yet been fully disclosed. The venture is expected to provide Donatella with a new digital-focused outlet for her creative vision outside her former role at Versace.

The partnership also illustrates the changing relationship between established fashion figures and digital-first retailers, as brands increasingly look for ways to reach younger audiences through online communities, beauty products and new forms of fashion commerce.

A representative for Prada declined to comment on the announcement.
