Court Orders Blocking of TikToker Dania Shah’s ID Card

A Karachi court has ordered action concerning the identity card of TikToker and former wife of late television host and politician Aamir Liaquat Hussain, Dania Shah, in a case involving the alleged recording and circulation of a private video.

Dania Shah appeared before the Karachi city court during the latest hearing of the case. The proceedings relate to allegations surrounding a video involving Aamir Liaquat Hussain that was allegedly recorded and subsequently circulated online.

During the hearing, the court sent a letter to the Director General of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) regarding the identity cards of witnesses connected to the case.

The court also ordered the production of witnesses and adjourned further proceedings until August 27. The development comes as the case continues after several years of legal proceedings.

Dania Shah’s lawyer, Liaquat Gabol, argued that his client had been regularly appearing before the court for approximately three years but had yet to receive a final resolution in the case.

The lawyer questioned the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) ability to produce witnesses. He also raised concerns about why the case had been registered if the prosecution was unable to present sufficient evidence to support the allegations.

Gabol further argued that the allegation that Dania Shah recorded the video on her mobile phone and subsequently made it viral had not been established despite the passage of three years.

According to the FIA’s position in the case, Dania Shah allegedly recorded the video and later provided it to journalist Yasir Shami. The agency alleges that the video was subsequently shared further.

These allegations remain part of the ongoing court proceedings and should not be treated as established facts unless proven through the legal process.

The case concerns an alleged private video involving Aamir Liaquat Hussain, who died in Karachi in June 2022. The controversy surrounding the video led to legal action and an investigation into its alleged recording and circulation.

The latest hearing focused on the production of witnesses and issues surrounding the evidence in the case. The court’s decision to seek information concerning identity cards also formed part of the proceedings.

The next hearing is scheduled for August 27, when the court is expected to review the progress regarding the production of witnesses and other matters connected with the case.

The proceedings continue to attract public attention because of Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s prominent television career and the circumstances surrounding the alleged circulation of the private video.

As the case remains before the court, the allegations against the accused parties remain subject to judicial determination. Any final findings will depend on the evidence presented and the court’s assessment of the case.
